Love yourself by embracing imperfections, practicing self-care, listening to your body, and prioritizing balance for health and happiness.
Valentine’s Day is a day (among many others) to celebrate and cherish love.
And YOU are the first person you should love today.
But how hard is it to truly love and care for yourself? Just the thought of it can make you feel a little embarrassed, right?
Loving yourself with your strengths and flaws, your imperfections, fears, and insecurities (after all, we all have them, to some extent) without criticizing or comparing yourself to “perfect” standards, but instead, ACCEPTING yourself for your uniqueness and individuality.
Take better care of yourself.
LOVE yourself by taking better care of yourself and your body to feel good and stay healthy, especially by:
Eating well, drinking enough water, getting sufficient sleep, exercising, and showing your body how important it is.
Take better care of yourself by listening to yourself.
Have you ever really listened to yourself?
Have you ever paid attention to the signals your body sends?
Learn to LISTEN to yourself with the same focus as you would when listening to your favourite song because, within you, you’ll find the most important messages to perceive and “interpret.”
If you learn to listen, you’ll sense something:
Not just thoughts, fears, imperfections, or whether you’re hungry or sleepy.
There’s a sense, a body that speaks, a stomach that growls, a heart that beats; you’ll feel EMOTIONS… those things that are so hard to express, especially when we try to turn them into thoughts. But they are there. You can feel them.
Love yourself and take better care of yourself.
Do it for the people you love, too, so you can offer them the best version of YOU.
So take better care of yourself and your body every day.
To feel good and beautiful.
At the same time, your body will thank you for it.
