January: Month dedicated to Thyroid Disorders.

An illustration showing a human figure with highlighted thyroid glands, symbolizing the importance of thyroid health and awareness in overall well-being.

Learn about thyroid disorders, their symptoms, and how to take care of your thyroid through proper nutrition and self-care for better health and well-being.

How long have you been tired of always feeling tired and not feeling well?
How many times have you blamed your thyroid when, despite the diet, you couldn’t lose weight?

Thyroid disorders are absolutely real and are becoming increasingly common not only in women but also in men.
If you’ve been feeling unwell for a while now, keep pushing to investigate further until someone takes your symptoms seriously.

My advice: Don’t waste any more time.
Start taking care of yourself, including nourishing your thyroid the right way. You can feel better!

January: Thyroid Awareness Month

More and more often, I meet people with thyroid disorders who are unaware of their condition.

You see, thyroid hormones travel to every cell in the body and act a bit like a thermostat.

Depending on how many thyroid hormones are circulating, we can feel better or worse.

When the levels are good, we have good energy, we’re alert, and we have a good metabolism.

Otherwise, we can face two situations:

  • If the thyroid is working “too much,” and hyperthyroidism is diagnosed, symptoms can include:
    • Goiter
    • Palpitations,
    • Weight loss, etc.
  • When the thyroid is not functioning properly, it goes into “energy-saving mode,” and the symptoms can be varied:
    • It can make you feel exhausted,
    • Metabolism slows down, and weight gain occurs,
    • Body temperature drops,
    • Brain fog and poor concentration, anxiety, depression,
    • Hair loss, dry and itchy skin,
    • PMS, low libido,
    • Constipation, etc.

In general, women are at a higher risk than men for both types of thyroid dysfunction, and they are particularly more prone to hypothyroidism, especially with:

  • Advancing age,
  • Family history,
  • Stress,
  • And/or other hormonal imbalances,
  • And/or gut issues.

How many times have you been told that “everything is normal” just by looking at the TSH value, while your symptoms were saying otherwise?
Has this ever happened to you?

It’s important to investigate further and support your thyroid nutritionally – especially when the symptoms you’re experiencing don’t match the “normal” test results.

So, start taking better care of yourself to feel better.
